PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO ORIENTATION:

Class A CDL License (Permits are not accepted)
Social Security Card
Employment history for the past 3 consecutive years; all driving jobs for the past 10 years
Bring one of the following: Birth Certificate, DD214, Passport or other acceptable Government Issued Documents
Beneficiary Information: Date of Birth and Social Security Number (needed for company paid life insurance policy)
Medical Insurance: Bring Social Security numbers and date-of-birth information for any dependents to be included on your medical coverage
Voided Check or Bank Information for Direct Deposit, otherwise payroll is deposited on the Com Data Card
Prescription medications (if any) along with your Doctor's name and phone number
Personal Cash
Personal Gear: Week and a half of work clothes and bedding for the truck

WHAT TRANSPORT AMERICA COVERS AT ORIENTATION

Hotel stay is covered
Meals – Starting Monday morning the hotel serves a Continental Breakfast. Lunch is provided on-site at the orientation facility, and meal vouchers are provided for evening meals which are good at three different area restaurants
Transportation to and from the training site from the hotel is provided each day

JUST A FEW TIPS:

Bring weather/work appropriate gear. You must wear either work boots or sturdy tennis shoes with a hard bottomed sole. Sandals or open toed shoes are not allowed
Physicals are given first thing Monday morning. Please limit your caffeine and sugar intake the night before, or in the morning prior to your physical
You will be sharing a hotel room with one other person paired based on smoking preferences. Single rooms are available for an extra charge per night of approximately $20 per night - not covered by Transport America
If you wear glasses or a hearing aide be sure to have them during your physical
Upon checking into the hotel, you will receive additional information detailing your schedule while at orientation
You must complete orientation and get hired to receive your orientation pay
