Driver Recognition Programs

Recognizing our drivers for their safety and customer service performance is one of our top priorities at Transport America - and we do it well!

Drivers of the Month – Each month three Company Drivers and three Owner Operators are selected to receive this special recognition in a formal presentation at Transport America’s headquarters in Eagan, MN.  Drivers are selected to receive this award based on several areas of performance, including on time performance, safe driving history and working percentage.  

James B. Aronson Award – Each year one company driver and one Owner Operator are selected to receive the James B. Aronson Award. Recipients of this prestigious honor are selected from that year’s group of Drivers of the Month Award recipients.

Safe Driving Awards - This program is designed to recognize and promote safe driving.  All full-time Drivers are eligible for the program, which is administered by the Safety Department in accordance with the ATA (American Trucking Association) “Awards for Truck Fleet Employees.”  Drivers are recognized annually for their safe driving records.  Annual Awards coincide with a Driver’s anniversary date. 

Million Mile Accident Free Drivers are also recognized by Transport America.  Generous award packages for 1, 2 and 3 Million Miles accomplishments are presented to our drivers who have achieved these milestones in safe driving excellence.  Formal award presentations are held at the corporate headquarters in Eagan, MN.  Transport America is proud to have over 150 One Million Mile Accident Free Drivers in its fleet!

Driver Instructor Top Gun Awards - Transport America takes pride in its new driver training program and seeks to recognize those Driver Instructors that excel in the training of new drivers in our company and the workforce.  Each year three Driver Instructors will be selected to receive the “Top Gun Award” in a formal ceremony at the corporate headquarters in Eagan, MN.

Truck Driving Championships - Transport America drivers have participated in the MN Truck Driving Championships since 2003.   This is a wonderful opportunity for our drivers to showcase their driving skills and be recognized for the great job they do!
